Pilot project includes specialized company Sustainable Business Solutions
AGCO Corporation has received ten AE50 awards from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). Each year, an international panel of engineering experts recognizes the year's 50 most innovative projects in engineered products or systems for the food and agricultural industries. AGCO's ten AE50 awards span the company's portfolio of brands, including Fendt, Fuse, Intelligent Ag, Massey Ferguson and Precision Planting.
"Innovation is fundamental to our vision to be farmers' most trusted partner for smart, industry-leading agricultural solutions and we are honored to be recognized with ten AE50 awards across our portfolio of brands," said Eric Hansotia, President, President and executive director of AGCO.
“Helping farmers maximize yield while reducing inputs and impact delivers real value to farmers and motivates our team to accelerate the pace of farmer-first innovation in all areas of our business,” he added.
• Fendt 700 Gen7 Vario: brand's most popular tractor. Redesigned to improve performance, reduce costs and increase productivity, the tractor is one of the most versatile and easy to operate in its market segment, with five models ranging from 203 to 283 hp engine, a standard VarioDrive CVT, station FendtONE operator, fuel-efficient AGCO Power 7.5L engine, and agronomically enhancing features like the VarioGrip Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS).
A Cultivar Magazine informed about the launch of Fendt 700 Vario Generation 7 on 6/9/22.
• Geo-Bird: Free, intuitive web app that automatically optimizes routes for multiple fields and implements, saving farmers time and money and supporting greater sustainability. Controlled Traffic Agriculture (CTF) route lines help farmers reduce time and cost requirements; curves, wheeled traffic and overlapping headlands; fuel use and CO2 footprints; and soil compaction on dry land. Geo-Bird routes are exportable to multi-brand terminals for greater ease of use in disparate operations.
• Well Level Monitor Model AP-6010: from AP (Automated Production Systems), uses electronic pressure transducers to efficiently measure the depth of effluent in manure pits beneath swine confinement facilities. This innovation provides swine facility operators with more accurate management information regarding manure pits, including advance warnings of water leaks and remaining storage capacities.
• Massey Ferguson LB2200 Series Baler: fuses the reliability of previous models with new, state-of-the-art technological advancements. A new pickup design improves baler feed and parts reliability while reducing noise. New axle and tire offerings with a single bogie suspension improve ground clearance and rideability. The Common Electrical Architecture (CEA) provides greater information and control via ISOBUS terminal for Tractor Implement Management (TIM), bale length, bale ejection and bale chute bending.
• Massey Ferguson WR Series Windrower: provides up to 282 peak horsepower and an industry-exclusive closed-center hydraulic system to increase fuel efficiency and available head power. This also eliminates the need for a secondary pump for auxiliary functions such as attaching a triple wind line (TWA). Technology upgrades improve field efficiency, reduce operator stress, and enable real-time tracking and data management. MF Guide ensures accurate automatic steering to minimize pass-through overlap. Optional rear steering is available for trucking speeds up to 24,5 mph.
• Recon SpraySense: from Intelligent Ag, is a retrofit sprayer product that measures pressure and flow at each nozzle to help ensure applications match desired coverage and rates. GPS capability and a database of nozzles from leading manufacturers infer exact droplet size. Each nozzle's performance is condensed as a single Spray Quality Index and provided to operators via an iPad app. Recon SpraySense is a turn-key solution and provides cutting-edge technology in old and new sprayers.
• Claim: from Precision Planting, replaces nozzle bar caps on sprayers and provides a return path to the tank for better product agitation and circulation, faster boom priming and better boom cleaning. ReClaim also improves sprayer cleanliness with compressed air that pushes product back into the tank where it is drained and properly disposed of. These improvements reduce accumulation in the bar, waste of product in the soil and damage to the crop due to poor application.
• Radicle Agronomics: from Precision Planting, is the world's first fully automated soil laboratory. Its small footprint, self-calibration technology and ability to run hundreds of unattended samples replaces manual, error-prone processes and delivers tremendous efficiency and greater accuracy to professional agronomists. Cloud-based software connects every step of the field-to-lab process so agronomists can provide superior nutrient management recommendations to their clients.
• IN HD: from Precision Planting, is a new liquid fertilizer controller and sensor that uses an electromagnetic flow sensor to provide high-speed row-by-row liquid fertilizer rate control in row crop planters, side cover implements and no-till implements . Immediate feedback from the flow sensor allows the system to make high-speed changes in liquid valve control, which maintains more accurate and consistent fertilizer flow all the way to the point of implement application.
• Precision Planting Lock Expansion Module (BXM): monitoring component for non-isolated crop seeding implements that combines and connects multiple blocking sensors into a single connection point for 20-20 seeding monitoring systems. By simplifying implement electronics and providing more user-friendly and actionable data, BXM improves producers' ability to diagnose issues that arise in the delivery of products from commodity tanks to the point of application.
