AGCO announces Werner Santos as new VP of Sales and Marketing for South America

Executive resumes leadership of the group in Brazil and on the continent, with the aim of enhancing its competitive advantage

AGCO announces the hiring of Werner Santos as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for South America. Among his duties, Werner will define and execute sales and marketing strategies considering the company's commercial policies for the short, medium and long term. He will also be responsible for improving the brand's strategy, introducing launches and developing products and dealerships.

Werner will report directly to Robert Crain, Senior Vice President of the Americas. “Agribusiness in South America and, especially, in Brazil has maintained not only constant growth, but with prospects for continued development. It is in this context that Werner returns to AGCO with the aim of enhancing our group's competitive advantage in the market”, observed Robert Crain, after a press conference held at Agrishow, in Ribeirão Preto.

Werner worked at AGCO, in this same position, until 2008, for a total of 23 years with the company. Previously, he also worked in other companies in the sector, as sales director and as CEO for dealership operations, for five years.

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria, he has an MBA in marketing from ESPM and in Agribusiness from UFRGS, in addition to being certified by the Board of Directors of IBGC.
