AGCO announced today that it has signed an agreement with Hexagon to expand its factory and after-sales guidance offering. The new guidance system will be sold as Fuse Guide on Massey Ferguson and Valtra tractors.

The new agreement expands the current agreement between AGCO and Hexagon to distribute Hexagon NovAtel global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers and Hexagon's global TerraStar correction services both at the factory and through AGCO dealers.

Fuse Guide will offer an electronic guidance and steering system. Like AGCO's premium guidance systems, Fuse Guide will also utilize the NovAtel SMART7 receiver.

The solution offers a choice between third-party aftermarket systems and premium integrated guidance systems from AGCO, MF Guide and Valtra Guide. The Fuse Guide is expected to be commercialized in Brazil in the second quarter of 2023, with additional markets to follow in 2024.

"Automatic guidance and steering technology is the first step in implementing precision agriculture for greater input efficiency and higher harvest yields. We anticipate this agreement will help increase the adoption of precision agriculture technology in our growing markets , providing an easy-to-use, competitively priced guidance solution for farmers in more regions," said Mark Theuerkauf, Director of Fuse Go-to-Market at AGCO.
