Consolidated in the leadership of the bioinsecticides market in soybean, corn and cotton crops, in the 2020-21 harvest, the Australian-American company AgBiTech invests in new tools to stay on top. Ahead of the start of the 2021-22 cycle, AgBiTech expanded its mobile laboratory project (LabMóveis), from two to 12 themed vehicles, which already travel across the agricultural frontier. LabFurniture provides didactic content to provide exclusive practical experiences to customers, focusing on the action of caterpillars in agricultural production environments.

According to AgBiTech's marketing manager, Gustavo Shiomi, the LabFurniture transport support materials that reproduce the mode of action of 'baculoviruses' - active ingredients of the company's biological insecticides -, and also help in the identification of caterpillar species of agricultural importance. LabFurniture also includes laboratory devices, tablets and TVs, connected to a revolutionary ‘augmented reality’ platform. The equipment ‘inserts’ farmers and customers into the caterpillars’ environment.

Gustavo Shiomi adds that the company also invested in other cutting-edge digital tools, customized and accessible via QR Code (see below), with the aim of facilitating the perception of producers and technicians regarding the agronomic relevance of bioinsecticides.

“We produce a series of 3D animations and games, also anchored in augmented reality, which customers and partners can access even in the uniforms of our teams on the field. Just point your cell phone at the QR Code”, adds Shiomi. “All materials transported in the LabMóvel project are also available on AgBiTech’s social networks.”
