Data from the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, providing a precise average, showed that, after the 25,8% adjustment in the value of diesel passed on to refineries, valid since last August 16th, the national average price of a liter of fuel was sold at gas stations at R$ 5,76 on August 17th, an increase of 9,71% compared to the 15th, the date before the change, and from 12,72% when compared to August 10th.

S-10 diesel, on the 17th, closed at an average of R$ 5,94 at the country's supply pumps, with an increase of 10% in relation to August 15th, and 13,14%, compared to the 10th of the same month.

“A liter of diesel became more expensive for Brazilian drivers and, regionally, all registered increases for both types of diesel. In the Central-West and North, the price of regular diesel closed on the 17th above R$ 6. S-10 diesel closed above this value in all five Brazilian regions”, highlights Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility from Edenred Brasil.
