Helm do Brasil hosts Rally Mulheres do Agro
Initiative, supported by Helm, seeks to reinforce the role of women in agribusiness, which has grown in recent years
Starting this Wednesday (12), Valley will participate in the 30th Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Lowlands, held in Capão do Leão (RS). Represented by resellers Irridrop, Irrigasul and Infosafras, the leading company in the irrigation sector has a stand at the event, which is expected to attract thousands of visitors until Friday (14).
The event is held by the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz), and aims to develop the rice farming sector, bringing together producers, authorities, entities and companies in the sector. Opportunity to showcase the latest scientific and technological advances in rice cultivation, as well as discuss the reality of the sector on a national and international level.
At the Valley stand, resellers Irridrop, Irrigasul and Infosafras will work together, demonstrating that the use of a central pivot can provide several advantages to producers. “We are going to show visitors that the central pivot is something necessary on the property, especially after a period of drought like the one that occurred in Rio Grande do Sul. An important detail is that around 70% to 80% of the rice produced in Rio Grande do South is by the flood method, which consumes a lot of water. We will show that the use of the pivot greatly reduces water consumption and maintains production at the same rates. In other words, water is saved and productivity is maintained”, said Henrique Levien, director of the Infosafras reseller.
Pedro Alessandro de Oliveira, responsible for Irrigasul, highlighted other benefits that the central pivot can offer to producers in Rio Grande do Sul. “By using a pivot, the producer saves labor, saves water and has high productivity. Furthermore, it is possible to diversify crops in the highlands,” he emphasizes. In a region traditionally linked to rice cultivation, the benefits of irrigation are many.
Director of Irridrop, Cristopher Haselein Flores highlights that the stand demonstrates in practice what the producer has to gain from the central pivot. “As soon as visitors pass by the stand, they will find two soybean plants placed side by side. One of them was irrigated and the other was cultivated rainfed. The difference in plant development is striking, illustrating very well the productivity gains provided by the pivot,” he reveals.
At the event, Valley will also launch a video with customer testimonials about the benefits of using pivots in rice irrigation.
Anyone visiting Valley's stand will be able to see some of the company's solutions up close, such as the Icon10 smart panel, demonstrating telemetry products, and remote pivot control. In addition, visitors will be able to see up close the VFD, which allows constant movement of the equipment, avoiding jams, and the Field Commander, used to enable telemetry on older equipment.
