The forecast from Cemtec (Weather and Climate Monitoring Center) from Semadesc (Secretariat of Environment, Development, Science, Technology and Innovation) for this Wednesday (27) is for a drop in temperatures in a large part of Mato Grosso do South. This occurs due to the breaking of the atmospheric blockage, which favors the advance of an oceanic cold front and alleviates the heat wave in the State. On Tuesday (26), the maximum in Campo Grande reached 36,8°C. The highest temperature was recorded in Porto Murtinho, with a peak of 42,9°C, while the highest temperature range was recorded in the municipality of Santa Rita do Pardo, with a minimum of 17,9°C and a maximum of 40°C.

According to the Cemtec bulletin for this Wednesday (27), minimum temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 13°C and 16°C, mainly in the southern region of the state. Furthermore, rain and storms accompanied by lightning and gusts of wind cannot be ruled out. In Campo Grande, the minimum will be 21°C and maximum 32°C. In Dourados, 18°C in the morning and 29°C in the afternoon. In the east of the state, in Anaurilândia, thermometers initially read 20°C and rise to 32°C. In the Southern Cone, Iguatemi records a minimum of 16°C and a maximum of 29°C. In Ponta Porã, values are between 16°C and 29°C.

In Corumbá, in the Pantanal region, the minimum will be 21°C and maximum 30°C; Aquidauana will vary between 22°C and 32°C. In the southwest, Porto Murtinho dawns at 19°C and reaches 30°C. In the north, Coxim will have 26°C early and reach 37°C throughout the day. In Bolsão, Três Lagoas records 24°C in the morning and 38°C in the afternoon.

Cemtec also warns of the occurrence of an “inverted minimum” this Wednesday in Mato Grosso do Sul due to the advance of the cold front. “The minimum temperatures observed in the southern region of the state are associated with the advance of the cold front. Throughout the day, it should advance to other regions. Therefore, we should have lower temperatures throughout the day than in the early morning”, informs meteorologist Valesca Fernandes, from Cemtec.
