Basf presents portfolio of connected offers at Show Rural Coopavel
Company offers solutions in seeds, pesticides and digital agriculture for efficient crop management
Adama has been investing increasingly in research and development of biological (or biodefensive) and plant biostimulation products. Due to the importance of these solutions for Brazilian producers and agribusiness in general, the company created a biosolutions platform, that is, a portfolio with these products, and, with this, expects to achieve annual revenue of 50 million dollars.
Among the biosolutions already commercially available by Adama are ExpertGrow, a multiculture product already consolidated in this market, and Emerge, an organomineral fertilizer that has just been launched. Both are solutions aimed at plant biostimulation and contain algae extract and nutrients in their composition. Developed for seed treatment and focusing on soybean, corn and cotton crops, Emerge aims to improve plant vigor, thus contributing to the construction of a productive crop. “The product meets the needs of tropical agriculture, which suffers a lot of damage caused by biotic and abiotic stresses, as it enhances the vegetative development and defense structure of the plant”, says Vinicius Boleta, Product Manager at Adama.
The delivery of biosolutions like these is part of Adama's brand promise to listen to the needs of rural producers, understand their challenges and demands, to deliver the best solutions for their crops. “Producers are looking for differentiated products that always bring increased productivity, whether conventional or of natural origin, such as biosolutions. Adama understood this need and, therefore, has been investing in recent years in expanding its portfolio with this line”, explains Boleta.
In addition to Emerge and ExpertGrow, aimed at plant biostimulation, the company is preparing to launch, in 2022, a biodefensive (or biological defensive). With three products hitting the market in 2022, Adama is now competing in the biosolutions market. “The efficiency of biological products is proven and Adama believes in the combination of chemical and biological products for better crop management. We will invest even more capital in the development of new formulations in this pillar. By 2026, Adama will have five biosolutions on the Brazilian market, two products already available on the market, Emerge and ExpertGrow, and three biodefensive products”, reinforces Boleta.
