The Brazilian Association of Corn Producers, Abramillho, in partnership with the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso, Aprosoja/MT, will hold on December 9th, at 8 am, at the Pantanal Events Center, in Cuiabá, MT, the launch of the Mais Milho Forum, which aims to debate the main issues in the Corn production chain. According to the vice-president of Abramilho, Glauber Silveira, the Forum will be a panel that will highlight cereal production and will certainly be included in the sector's calendar of events.

Formatted in four central panels, the themes will be presented: Map Policies for Corn Culture, with the presence of Minister Blairo Maggi. Then, Technologies and Management for Corn Production, by the president of Monsanto, Rodrigo Santos. For the panel on the Corn Market Scenario for 2017, the central lecture is delivered by the Brazilian Commodities and Futures Exchange, and also includes the presence of the Secretary of Agricultural Policy, Neri Geller. Finally, the theme will be How we can diversify and add value to corn farming, presented by Airton Spies and Vital Nogueira.

For the president of Abramilho, Alysson Paolinelli, holding this Forum will allow for a very positive discussion. “More Milho means that everyone in the chain can collaborate to think and discuss corn. Price policy, for example, everyone knows that the final price of corn is highly influenced by public policies, we need to discuss this, and this event is a great opportunity for that. We cannot let what happened last year happen again, when we had no corn, not even for internal supply, much less for our buyers. We need to talk about corn, we need to talk about the importance of corn in the production chain."
