Attractive salary ranges, a heated market and the search for sustainability arouse public interest in the new courses that the Bahian Association of Cotton Producers (Abapa) will offer, in the weeks of July 04th and 11th, through its Training Center (CT ), in Luís Eduardo Magalhães/BA. These are qualifications for Agricultural Aviation Coordinator (CCAA) and Agricultural Aviation Executor (CEAA), two strategic and popular professions in modern agriculture in the Brazilian cerrado, where Western Bahia is located. The training will be free for the entity's members, and is the result of an agreement between the association and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), in partnership with the companies ABA Manutenção de Aeronaves and Sabri.

Agricultural Aviation Coordinators and Executors are professionals who stay on the ground and analyze all the conditions necessary for the pilots' work, including defining when the operation cannot be carried out. The coordinators are agronomists, and, in this case, those legally responsible for the activity. The executors, as the name suggests, are those who put the coordinator's deliberations into practice, a function that can be performed by agricultural and agricultural technicians. Salaries vary between R$7,5 and R$12 for coordinators and R$2,5 to R$5 for executors.

The preparation of the “mixture” that will be sprayed and its precise use are part of the duties of these professionals, strategic for the sustainability of the property. “It is difficult to imagine Brazilian agriculture without agricultural aviation. Therefore, it needs to be practiced within technical rigor, respecting current legislation and taking into account all environmental, social and economic issues involved. Every drop counts and needs to be used rationally. To do this, it is essential to analyze the direction of the winds, meteorological conditions, dilution and other factors. These professionals guarantee technical safety in agricultural aviation operations and, therefore, this course is so important”, says the president of Abapa, Luiz Carlos Bergamaschi. He highlights that this is the first time that a producers' association promotes these courses in Brazil.
