World coffee exports, exclusively in the last month of October of this year 2021, reached a total physical volume equivalent to 9,68 million 60kg bags, including green and industrialized coffees. This performance represented a slight drop of 4,4% in global exports, if this export volume is compared to the 10,13 million bags sold by producers to importing countries, in the same month of the previous year.
This decrease recorded in the total volume of world coffee exports in the month of October, now highlighted, was a direct result of the 9,5% reduction in exports of Arabica coffee, which fell from 6,76 million bags to 6,17 .4,4 million bags. And, on the other hand, a 3,36% increase in sales to Robusta coffee importing countries, which went from 3,51 million bags to 60 million XNUMXkg bags, on the same comparative basis.
According to the data and statistical records of the performance of global coffee farming contained in the Coffee Market Report – November 2021, from the International Coffee Organization – ICO, which classifies coffees of the species Arabic coffee in three types: ‘Brazilian Naturals’, Colombian Milds’ and ‘Other Milds’; and, additionally, coffees of the type Coffea canefora in 'Robustas', the most significant reduction in the aforementioned exports, in the month of October 2021, was 12,34% of Brazilian Natural type coffees, which accounted for only 3,62 million bags sold, compared to 4,13 .60 million XNUMXkg bags exported in the same month of the previous year.
