In a scenario of low domestic supply and a high dollar, domestic wheat grain prices remain firm. The significant increase in the North American currency further limited cereal imports – this Monday, the 16th, the dollar closed at R$ 5,03, a significant appreciation of 6% compared to the previous second. According to Cepea employees, with sellers withdrawn and firm in their offers, domestic liquidity is low.

On the demand side, buyers in need of inventory face difficulties in finding lots. In the derivatives market, flour prices continue to rise, influenced by the support in the price of wheat and the appreciation of the dollar. According to Cepea employees, there is a slight increase in demand for this derivative and the maintenance of prices in some regions. For wheat bran, the lack of rain in pastures in the state of Santa Catarina favored sales, especially to cattle breeders.
