Wheat sowing activities end in southern Brazil

Wheat sowing activities have come to an end in southern Brazil, and producers consulted by Cepea remain optimistic about this season's production, influenced by the favorable climate.

In Paraná, crops present better conditions than those observed in the last three seasons. In Rio Grande do Sul, dry weather allowed progress and completion of sowing.

In relation to derivatives, if the averages of last week (July 20th to 24th) and the previous week are compared, all flours and brans gained value in the Brazilian market. Cepea employees indicated specific deals for flour intended for biscuits (both savory and sweet). In the case of bran, demand and prices continue to rise in the south of the country.
