The wheat harvest in Brazil continues to advance and now exceeds 70% of the area allocated to the cereal, with emphasis on Paraná, one of the main producing states, and where field work is in the final stretch.

Cepea researchers emphasize, however, that divergences between the quality of wheat from the Southern states available on the spot have resulted in a drop in values for the producer and an increase in the wholesale market.

In general, liquidity is greater in Rio Grande do Sul, which has been offering better quality wheat this season. Cepea employees also reported that wheat from Paraguay is arriving in Paraná.
