The prices of wheat bran and grain are on the rise in the Brazilian market. According to Cepea researchers, the losses caused by low temperatures and frosts in July in second corn crops and in some wheat areas have been confirmed.
This scenario should severely reduce the supply of corn in the Brazilian market, which, in turn, has already led agents to increase the demand for wheat derivatives, a substitute for cereal in animal feed.
A Cepea survey shows that, in July/21, the average price of wheat bran in bulk exceeded that of the same month of 84 by 2020%, in nominal terms. In the case of bagged derivatives, the increase in the same period was 78,5%.
