Corn prices are falling in parts of Brazilian regions, influenced by lower demand. In this month's partial (between April 29th and May 6th), the ESALQ/BM&FBovespa Indicator (Campinas – SP) fell 1,84%, to R$ 86,63/sc of 60 kg on Friday, 6th, the lowest nominal level this year.
According to information from Cepea, buyers are well-stocked and attentive to the good prospects for the second Brazilian harvest. Not even the rise in foreign prices and the dollar were enough to stop the downward movement in the national spot. Furthermore, producers are also interested in negotiating, whether to “make cash” or to free up space in warehouses.
