Syngenta changes its Biologicals & Seedcare business
Igor Lyra takes on the role of head of biologicals and seed care for Brazil
Volkswagen do Brasil and Grão Direto have announced an unprecedented partnership that promises to transform the way rural producers purchase vehicles. From now on, it will be possible to buy models from the German brand with payment in grains, through the digital solution Barter Fácil, developed by the agtech.
The new solution expands negotiation options for the field, allowing producers to use their production as a bargaining chip. According to the companies, the solution brings more agility, security and practicality to those who face the challenges of agribusiness on a daily basis.
“This alliance represents a significant step forward. We will offer more flexible negotiation conditions, aligned with the dynamics of agribusiness, strengthening our commitment to rural producers,” says Roger Corassa (pictured, left), Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Volkswagen do Brasil.
The negotiation will be made possible by Barter Fácil, a tool that allows real-time evaluation of exchange variables, providing more strategic operations. In addition, it will be integrated with Clicou Fechou, a Grão Direto system that provides updated prices for grains and derivatives such as soybean meal, oil and hulls, allowing for more accurate and advantageous negotiations.
Initially, the project will be implemented in five pilot dealerships: Fancar Toledo (PR), Trescinco (Cuiabá/MT), Norpave (Londrina/PR), Santa Emília and Itacua (both in Ribeirão Preto/SP), with expansion plans throughout Brazil.
“We are taking barter trading to a new level. Technology enables fast and safe decisions, bringing gains to everyone involved,” highlights José Carlos Mazetto (pictured, right), from Grão Direto.
As part of its move to get closer to the agricultural sector, Volkswagen also announced the launch of the New T-Cross Extreme, a new version of Brazil's best-selling SUV. Inspired by the Amarok and Saveiro pickup truck lines, the model has a more robust look and, for the first time, will be offered with matte varnish paint, marking its presence in the market with a more adventurous proposal.
