Vera Lúcia de Amorim Biagi passed away today (4/8/22), at 13:00 pm, in São Paulo, as a result of a stroke. She worked at the Maubisa Group.

The family reported what happened in the following statement:

"Vera was born in Ribeirão Preto on December 28, 1945. Daughter of Henrique Berbet de Amorim and Alda Luiza Vianna de Amorim, and sister of Álvaro (in memoriam), Henrique, João Carlos and Ana Luiza. She married Maurílio Biagi Filho on July 21, 1967, with whom she had four children: Rodrigo, Marcelo, Roberto and Elisa and eight grandchildren: Lucca, Chiara, Fabrízio, Isabela, Yuri, Beatriz, Bettina and Lorenzo.

Always very discreet and kind, she guided her life by dedication to family, friends and social causes. Among many relevant actions, when she lived at Usina Santa Elisa, in the 1970s, she carried out transformative social work with thousands of collaborators. In the 2000s, she led the Nascentes project, which aimed to protect the environment in the former Fazenda Baixadão (today the Jardim Paiva neighborhood) in Ribeirão Preto. There she implemented awareness actions with residents and the surrounding community, carried out cultural activities, such as musical performances, developed a recyclable waste collection program and coordinated the planting of more than 10 thousand trees.

Passionate about the visual arts, cinema, dance and music, she supported countless cultural projects and encouraged several artists. She led a specific action with the Roberto Marinho Foundation that enabled the restoration of the Pedro II theater, for which she was honored in 2020 with a thank you plaque in the mirror room.

At Maubisa, in addition to being a leader in the social responsibility area, he dedicated himself diligently to the company's restructuring process and implementation of corporate governance.

He leaves his family, friends, collaborators and partners with immense nostalgia and many good memories."

The wake will take place this Monday (5/8), from 10am to 13pm, at Memorial Parque dos Girassóis - Sala Azaléia (Av. Afonso Valera, 350 - Recreio das Acácias - Ribeirão Preto).
