Valtra highlights efficient tractors for the sugarcane and energy sector.

The Brazilian sugarcane and energy sector enters the 2026/27 harvest season in a scenario of high technical and economic demands. According to Datagro estimates, the sugarcane harvest in the Center-South region should reach 635 million tons, a 4% increase compared to the previous season. To handle this operational volume of the mills, Valtra highlights a portfolio focused on robustness, technological innovation, and fuel economy. The machines will be present at Agrishow 2026, which takes place in Ribeirão Preto (SP) from April 27th to May 1st.

The brand has established itself as a benchmark in the sugarcane and energy sector, offering solutions ranging from soil preparation to sugarcane delivery to the mill. "Our machines are easy to operate and were designed for producers who need productivity results with significant savings, simplicity, and without sacrificing comfort," emphasizes Elizeu dos Santos, Product Marketing Manager at Valtra.

One of the most awarded machines in the sector for its excellent performance, the BH HiTech features automatic modes to optimize operation and a hydraulic system with an exclusive reservoir, delivering the highest flow rate on the market. This saves time during unloading and increases the speed of transshipment. The model also has a through rear axle and a front axle with a 3-meter option, which perfectly accommodates the spacing between rows and prevents unwanted trampling of the sugarcane field.

Considering the demanding soil preparation operations, Valtra highlights the "giant" S6 Series, the brand's most powerful tractor family. Manufactured in Finland, the model reaches up to 425 hp of power and 1.750 Nm of torque. Equipped with a CVT transmission and an 8,4L AGCO Power engine, the S6 delivers between 10% and 15% less fuel consumption, guaranteeing maximum control and comfort.

Extreme power is also guaranteed by the Q5 Series (265 hp to 305 hp) and T Series CVT. The T Series, specifically, has the most advanced traction technology in its category, with a continuously variable transmission that allows the tractor to move, stop, or start with a load on inclines using only the accelerator pedal. The model generates an average fuel saving of 25% and features a front axle with a 3-meter option, preventing unwanted trampling in the sugarcane field.

The brand's tradition is also present in the fourth generation of the BM Line, which has over 20 years of history in the sugarcane and energy sector, performing services with high efficiency and delivering up to 15% savings to the producer. In the crop management phase, the R Series Sprayers guarantee the precise application of inputs, eliminating waste.

Looking to the future, Valtra reaffirms its commitment to decarbonization by investing in engines for alternative fuels, such as biomethane and ethanol. These solutions allow the plant to use the fuel generated within its own ecosystem, closing the sustainability loop. “Our investment in alternative fuels reflects Valtra's DNA of innovation. We want producers and plants to have autonomy, using their own sugarcane or its residues to fuel high-performance fleets. It's operational efficiency meeting the circular economy,” concludes Elizeu Santos.
