Postgraduate Program in Agricultural Engineering at UFSM celebrates 50 years

In 2022, the Postgraduate Program in Agricultural Engineering, at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), celebrates 50 years of uninterrupted operation. Founded in 1972, PPGEA is a place for professional training and production of science and technology, in the different areas of Agricultural Engineering, at a free, quality public university.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, the program will promote an event with lectures by professionals in the sector, professors from the Federal University of Santa Maria and other institutions, on October 13th and 14th, in the Flavio Miguel Schneider Auditorium at the Rural Science Center ( UFSM).

“We are working to put on a beautiful event to celebrate that we have continued researching and training people for Agricultural Engineering all this time. One of the activities that promises to be very beautiful is the tribute to former coordinators and teachers who are no longer in our Program, but will come to remember their participation”, explains the Program coordinator, Professor Alexandre Swarowsky.
