Twenty-seven companies and cooperatives are awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) delivered, in the ApexBrasil auditorium, in Brasília, the certificate to the companies and agricultural cooperatives that won the 6th edition of the Mais Integridade Seal. Created in 2018, the seal is recognition for companies that develop good integrity practices with a focus on social responsibility, environmental sustainability and ethics.

Companies are awarded in two distinct categories: the Green Seal, for companies that receive their first certification; and the Yellow Seal, for those that reaffirm good practices in their management. In this edition, 27 organizations were awarded, 11 with the Green Seal and 16 with the Yellow Seal.

At the ceremony, Mapa's executive secretary, Irajá Lacerda, highlighted that “Mapa is increasingly committed to helping all entrepreneurs in Brazilian agriculture and all productive sectors to provide more development in the national economy”.

Irajá also highlighted the relevance of the More Integrity Seal and congratulated the winners. “It is one of the most important projects in Mapa and Brazil. We know about the overcoming that each entrepreneur carried out to overcome this challenge, and to be receiving this award today. It’s teamwork, with a lot of dedication, organization and commitment to achieve this result,” he said.

Among the benefits that can be achieved by the award winners are: recognition of possible international partners; the motivational increase of the team and service providers; better risk classification in credit operations with official financial institutions; greater engagement with other national corporations that relate to the international market and need to demonstrate the practice of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance - Environmental, Social and Governance, in Portuguese).

During the ceremony, the Mais Integridade Seal Management Committee awarded the four companies chosen by it for good practices.
