Capal projects revenue of R$ 5,4 billion in 2025.
Gross grain reception reached approximately 1 million tons; investments in the units totaled R$ 165 million.
Trading companies continue to buy paddy rice for export, with deals around R$ 62,00 per 50-kilo sack, according to information from the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz). The continued purchases are seen as good news for the sector, especially as they contribute to the smooth flow of the past harvest.
According to the organization, acquisitions continue to occur during this transition period between harvests, without interruption in negotiations. For the federation, this movement helps to reduce the volumes still in storage and keeps the flow of commercialization active in the market.
The president of Federarroz, Denis Dias Nunes, states that trading companies maintained their buying presence throughout the period. "The trading companies didn't stop buying," he says.
According to Nunes, trading companies are entering the harvest season already acquiring paddy rice at prices above those of traditional markets. He believes this behavior has a direct impact on the sale of the remaining product. "This shows that we are moving forward with the sale of last season's harvest," he states.
