In the last week of May, the 3A long life salad tomato depreciated once again in wholesale markets. Even with lower temperatures controlling maturation, the harvest of the winter crop has increasingly increased the quantity of fruits on the market. Furthermore, the quarantine, due to the covid-19 pandemic, continues to pressure the demand for tomatoes. Between May 25 and 29, the 18-20 kg box was sold wholesale in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte (MG) and Campinas (SP) with averages of R$ 32,61, R$ 41,22, R $31,43 and R$37,92, respectively, drops of 15,65%, 14,18%, 13,30% and 13,81%, in the same order.
