Tocantins begins mandatory annual re-registration of agricultural establishments

The Agricultural Defense Agency (Adapec) alerts the owners of agricultural establishments in the State that began last Monday, 2nd, and continues until March 31st, the period for the mandatory annual re-registration of commercial and/or industrial establishments that are dedicated the marketing, storage, application and production of products for use in agriculture. The expectation is that more than 600 establishments will be re-registered.

According to Adapec's manager of plant evaluation, control and inspection, Lidiana Lira Vieira, re-registration is mandatory for all establishments that sell pesticides, seeds, vaccines and veterinary medicines, making it impossible to sell the products if this is not carried out.

“Re-registration is essential so that we can carry out inspections and guarantee the safety of people and the packaging conditions of the products sold, especially seeds and pesticides. And the establishment that does not carry out the act within the deadline will suffer from the sanctions provided for by law, ranging from a fine to a possible closure of the location”, explains the manager.

Normative Instruction No. 14, of December 21, 2021, provides for the procedures used to issue the Certificate of Registration for agricultural establishments in Tocantins, among them, the prohibition on the sale of pesticides between commercial establishments whose purchaser is not duly registered with the institution for the trade or storage of agricultural pesticides.

Re-registration is carried out directly at the Agency, simply provide all the documents indicated for the establishment's area of ​​activity, with up-to-date expiry dates and payment of the re-registration fee. The complete list of necessary documentation can be consulted at Adapec website.
