For the weekend, the forecast is for unstable weather due to a cold front coming from Uruguay towards Rio Grande do Sul. For next week, the weather forecast indicates a return to stable weather due to a high-pressure system expected to affect the entire state.

The information is contained in the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 03/2026, produced by the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).

Friday (16/1): The passage of a cold front near Uruguay may bring instability to the southern half of Rio Grande do Sul. Therefore, light to moderate rain, with locally heavy rain in isolated areas, is expected in this region.

Saturday (17/1): The weather will remain unstable due to the passage of a cold front, with rain forecast for most of the state, except for the southeastern portion.

Sunday (18/1): The cold front should begin to advance and reduce its influence over the territory of Rio Grande do Sul, causing precipitation to be restricted to the western and northern portions of the state.

Monday (19/1): The influence of the cold front should continue to diminish, with precipitation remaining confined to isolated areas in the western and northern portions of the state.

Tuesday (20/1) e Wednesday (21/1): The presence of a high-pressure system should favor the return of stable weather throughout Rio Grande do Sul, with no significant rainfall expected. During this period, temperatures will exhibit a high daily temperature range.

In general, the expected rainfall totals range between 5 and 30 millimeters across most of Rio Grande do Sul. The regions of Fronteira Oeste, Missões, Alto Uruguai, Norte, Campos de Cima da Serra, Central and Sul may experience slightly higher values than 30 millimeters in isolated areas.
