RS Safra 2025/26: Corn harvest advances to 35%
Emater/RS estimates the cultivation of 785.030 hectares, with a productivity of 7.370 kg/ha.
For the weekend, the forecast is for unstable weather due to the formation of a low-pressure system north of Rio Grande do Sul, with temperatures dropping. For next week, however, the weather forecast indicates temperatures rising again.
The information is contained in the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 06/2026, produced by the Secretariat of Agriculture (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).
Friday (6/2): Stable weather conditions should continue to prevail across most of Rio Grande do Sul, except in the Campanha and Southern Coastal regions. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in isolated areas. Temperatures are expected to continue rising, potentially approaching or exceeding 40°C in some parts of the state.
Saturday (7/2): The presence of a low-pressure system near the state may bring instability to the northern half of Rio Grande do Sul. Therefore, light to moderate rain, locally heavy, is expected in this region. In other areas, no significant rainfall is expected. Temperatures are expected to decline during this period.
Sunday (8/2): The weather should become stable again, with no significant rainfall expected in most of the state. Temperatures are expected to rise again.
Monday (9/2) and Tuesday (10/2): Maintaining the atmospheric patterns of the previous day may favor the continuation of stable weather across much of Rio Grande do Sul, with no significant rainfall expected, and rising temperatures.
Wednesday (11/2): The approach of a frontal system could bring instability to the southern half of the state, as well as to isolated points in the northern half of Rio Grande do Sul.
Overall, rainfall totals are expected to range between 0 and 50 millimeters (mm) throughout the week. The lowest predicted values are found in the western and southern halves of the state, where rainfall volumes should not exceed 20 mm. The highest volumes are expected in the northern half of the state, mainly in the Campos de Cima da Serra region, where isolated accumulations may exceed 50 mm.
