The latest Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, providing a precise average, revealed that in the South Region the average price of a liter of gasoline, sold at R$6,18 in the August consolidated, increased 0,65% compared to the closing price in July. In contrast, ethanol, found at R$4,35, remained stable. The price of regular diesel reached R$5,82, after an increase of 0,17%, while that of S-10 diesel, after a reduction of 0,17%, was found at R$5,97.
“Given the small changes in diesel prices, it can be said that, for both types, there was relative stability in the region. Following this trend, Paraná is where the cheapest diesel is found among all Brazilian states, at R$5,90 for regular and R$5,94 for S-10. Furthermore, the region was the only one to record stability for ethanol. Even so, when compared to gasoline, the fuel was only considered more economically advantageous at gas stations in Paraná. However, it is worth noting that ethanol is more environmentally friendly, as it emits fewer pollutants into the atmosphere and, as a result, contributes to low-carbon mobility,” says Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brazil.
The IPTL is a fuel price index calculated based on fueling at 21 accredited Edenred Ticket Log stations. It is highly reliable due to the number of vehicles managed by the brand: 1 million in total, with an average of eight transactions per second. Edenred Ticket Log, a brand in Edenred Brasil's Mobility business line, has over 30 years of experience and adapts to the needs of its customers, offering efficient and sustainable solutions.
