According to the latest analysis of the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of gas station transactions and provides a precise average, regular diesel had an average price of R$6,16 in the first half of July, a slight increase of 0,16% compared to the same period in June. This represents the first increase recorded for the fuel since February, interrupting a sequence of declines following downward adjustments made by Petrobras throughout the first half of 2025. S-10 diesel, however, was sold at R$6,18, a 0,16% decrease compared to the first half of June.
"After five months of decline, the price of regular diesel has risen again, albeit subtly. This variation may be linked to specific market adjustments, such as restocking at older prices and regional distribution differences. On the other hand, S-10 diesel continues to decline, which shows that the impacts of the price adjustments are still being felt differently, depending on the type of fuel and the logistics involved," analyzes Renato Mascarenhas, Director of Network, Operations, and Transformation at Edenred Mobilidade.
When analyzing by region, it can be seen that, compared to the first half of June, almost all regions followed the national average and recorded slight increases in the price of regular diesel. The Northeast stood out, with the highest increase for the fuel, 1,31%, with an average price of R$6,19. The North continued with the highest average among regions: R$6,83 (+0,15%). The South had the lowest average for the period: R$5,97 (+0,17%). Only the Southeast recorded a decrease for regular diesel, of 0,49% (R$6,07).
The largest drop in the period for S-10 diesel was in the Southeast, at 0,49% (R$6,14). The largest increase was recorded in the Central-West, at 0,48% (R$6,27). The South also recorded the lowest average for the S-10 type, at R$5,96 (-0,33%), while the highest average was in the North, at R$6,62, which remained stable compared to the first half of June.
In the state-by-state analysis, Acre continues to be the highlight of the first half of July. Even after a 1,04% drop, regular diesel reached R$7,64 in the state and remained the most expensive in Brazil, as did S-10 diesel, which saw a 0,13% reduction, falling to R$7,62. The largest reduction for regular diesel in the country occurred in Piauí, where the average price fell 2,04%, reaching R$6,24. For S-10 diesel, the largest drop was in Rondônia, at 1,04% (R$6,64).
The lowest average prices for both types of diesel were recorded at gas stations in Paraná: R$5,88 for regular diesel, even after a 0,86% increase compared to the first half of June, and R$5,90 for S-10 (+0,17%).
It's also worth noting that the largest increase in regular diesel prices was recorded in Bahia. In the state, the fuel rose 2,65%, bringing the average price to R$6,19. S-10 saw its largest increase, 1,37%, in Pernambuco, where the average price reached R$5,94.
