The technical program for the 36th Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Lowlands will feature a technical itinerary focused on the practical application of innovations in the rice production system. The activities will take place from February 24th to 26th at the Embrapa Clima Temperado Lowlands Experimental Station in Capão do Leão (RS).

The showcases are integrated into the event's technical program and were organized to present, in a concentrated manner, management alternatives, technologies, and solutions aimed not only at rice cultivation but also at crops that make up the productive rotation in lowland areas. The objective is to offer the producer an integrated view of the system, considering the increasing complexity of modern farming.

According to the technical director of the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz), André Matos, the proposal is to reflect the real demands of the field in the showcases. "We try to show in the technological showcase all the solutions that allow for more assertive management, both in rice and in the alternative crops that are part of the production system," he explains.

In addition to rice, the technical roadmap addresses the use of crops such as soybeans, corn, and cultivated summer pastures, including alternatives like Sudan grass and sorghum. These options play a strategic role in crop rotation and the sustainability of the rice farming system in lowland areas.

Matos emphasizes that the structure brings together companies and institutions focused on research, development, and genetic improvement, showcasing technologies applicable to the daily operations of farms. "Producers find in a single space the opportunity to observe, in an integrated way, the available alternatives and innovations within an increasingly complex system," states the technical director.

The 36th Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Lowlands has the theme "Current scenario and perspectives: connecting field and market". More information and free registration at the official website (www.colheitadoarroz.com.br).
