Soybean planting reaches 60% of the estimated area in RS
Productivity is projected at an average of 3.179 kg per hectare
The forecast for the next four days in Rio Grande do Sul will be marked by the return of irregular rainfall over all regions until the end of the week. This is what is indicated by the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 48/2024, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).
Friday (29/11): Despite the approach of the migratory anticyclone to the state, the atmospheric configuration will remain similar to the previous day with increased cloudiness over most regions. Therefore, the possibility of fog and precipitation of intensity ranging from light to moderate will continue over the South, Campanha and part of the Western Border regions. In this context, the weather will remain with little instability, an increase in the intensity of northerly winds in the southern half during the early morning hours and a slight rise in temperatures throughout the day.
Saturday (30/11): With the displacement of the migratory anticyclone towards the ocean, passing over part of RS, a period of stability will occur in the southern half. There will be possibilities for the occurrence of precipitation with intensity varying from light to moderate in part of the Missões Region and in the Northwest, North and Campos de Cima da Serra regions, as well as milder temperatures that should be observed throughout the day.
Sunday (01/12): An upper and mid-level trough in the interior of Argentina will be amplified, reinforcing a pre-frontal trough on the surface between Paraguay and the Río de la Plata with the contribution of the Low-Level Jet in transporting warm and humid air from the Amazon towards the Southern Cone. This new atmospheric configuration will create conditions for the occurrence of pre-frontal fog or light rain in most of the state, and precipitation of intensity varying from light to moderate along the border strip with Uruguay over the South, Campanha and Western Border regions. In view of this, the weather will change to a more unstable condition, including an increase in the intensity of northwest/north winds and rising temperatures throughout the day.
The trend for the beginning of the week in RS will be instability followed by stable weather.
Monday (2/12): The upper and mid-level trough from the previous day will spread toward the ocean, strengthening the pre-existing trough at the surface and subsequently forming a cold front that will be associated with an extratropical cyclone. As the cold front moves over the state, increased cloudiness is expected with the development of thunderclouds, followed by the occurrence of precipitation of intensity ranging from moderate to heavy in parts of the Campanha and Fronteira Oeste regions, in addition to the Metropolitan, Vales, Serra, Campos de Cima da Serra and Planalto regions. The instability is expected to spread throughout the state, where a drop in temperatures will be observed from the morning onwards.
Tuesday (3/12): After the cold front moves, the weather will stabilize again as the migratory anticyclone enters the state. Despite this, there will still be a possibility of fog or light rain in parts of the South and Campanha regions during the early hours of the morning. During the day, the sun should appear between clouds with temperatures being observed in a more pronounced decline compared to last week.
Wednesday (4/12): With the anticyclone moving over the state, the weather will stabilize again in all regions, when the sun will return, periods of skies with few clouds and milder temperatures will be observed throughout the day.
Forecasts for the next seven days indicate heavier rainfall in the center and north of RS, with volumes exceeding 100 mm in areas in the extreme north and northwest of the state. In the central strip, accumulations should vary between 50 mm and 100 mm. In the areas between the center and the south, volumes will be lower, with accumulations between 2 mm and 30 mm in regions close to Lagoa dos Patos and the South Coast, and between 10 mm and 50 mm in the regions of the Western Border, Campanha and North Coast.
