Recent rains and forecasts indicating new precipitation have favored soybean sowing in important regions of Brazil. According to researchers from Cepea, in the south of the country, work was interrupted last week due to high humidity.

In the Southeast and Central-West, rains are still irregular, but producers have advanced with their work. In the Matopiba region, humidity has been higher in recent days, allowing oilseed sowing to begin.

In general, fieldwork is faster than it was a year ago. Cepea researchers emphasize that, paying attention to field work, producers reduced the pace of negotiations involving the remaining volume of the 2020/21 harvest. Demand is also lower, resulting in low liquidity.
