The cooperative's 35th Field Day brought together 1,5 participants and presented studies from the Agricultural Research Center.
With only three days left until the deadline, the São Paulo Agricultural Defense, an agency of the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (SAA), reminds citrus producers that the Canker/Greening report must be submitted by next Thursday, January 15, 2026. The report must be sent through the computerized Animal and Plant Health Management system (Gedave) and must contain the results of the quarterly inspections for citrus canker and HLB/Greening carried out between July 1 and December 31, 2025 on all citrus plants on the property.
The delivery of reports with real data allows the Agricultural Defense technical team to have precise information on the spread and incidence of pests, enabling better targeting of phytosanitary defense actions and public policies.
“The information is necessary to guide agricultural defense actions and inform state public policies, always with the aim of ensuring the sanitary sustainability of São Paulo's agribusiness. Therefore, it is important that producers fill out the report accurately declaring the results of the inspections,” emphasizes Veridiana Zocoler de Mendonça, agricultural engineer and manager of the State Citrus Health Program.
Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) Ordinance No. 1.326, of July 04, 2025, established the National Program for the Prevention and Control of HLB (PNCHLB) and measures for the prevention and control of the disease. In the state of São Paulo, the elimination of symptomatic plants follows Resolution SAA 88, of December 07, 2021, mandatory in orchards up to eight years old, and the monitoring and control of the psyllid in all orchards, regardless of age.
In the State of São Paulo, delivery of the report is mandatory for all producers regardless of the age of the plants and delay or non-delivery subjects the producer to the sanctions provided for in State Decree No. 45.211, of September 19, 2000.
