Tec Campo brings technical updates to Capal's cooperative members.

Between January 23rd and February 10th, Capal Cooperativa Agroindustrial held another edition of Tec Campo, a traditional technical event that brings cooperative members closer to the research results developed by the ABC Foundation, a research institution that Capal supports.

During Tec Campo, researchers from the ABC Foundation visited the cooperative's units to present studies and data tailored to the productive realities of each region. The goal is to transform technical information into practical and applicable guidelines, allowing cooperative members to take the knowledge directly to their properties, focusing on productivity, efficiency, and sustainability.

In Paraná, the event took place in Curiúva, Santo Antônio da Platina, Wenceslau Braz, and Arapoti. In São Paulo, it was held in Taquarivaí and Itaberá (region of the Itararé Unit), Taquarituba, and Águas de Santa Bárbara (region of the Avaré Unit).

Among the topics covered were Crop Science, Plant Pathology, Herbology, Entomology, Soils and Plant Nutrition, Agrometeorology, Rural Economics, and Agricultural Mechanization.

Focus on regional reality

Fabrício Povh, coordinator of the Agricultural Mechanization and Precision Agriculture sector at the ABC Foundation, highlights the importance of customizing the lectures. “The knowledge is directed towards what the producer in the region needs. I was in four locations and addressed three different topics, according to studies by the ABC Foundation and what the regional technical team identified as a need,” he comments.

In Arapoti/PR, one of the topics covered was planting efficiency. “The Agricultural Mechanization sector has this characteristic of being close to the producer. What we do is show the cooperative members the resources they have, which are often underutilized, and present alternatives for greater efficiency. In the case of planting efficiency, this is very clear. We show them how they can take extra care with sowing and achieve good planting, the practices that every cooperative member can adopt, regardless of the machinery they use,” adds Povh.

For cooperative member Ronaldo Adriano de Lima, a rural producer for 16 years, this was the most interesting topic of the event held in Arapoti. He emphasizes that the program was full of knowledge and new ideas that can be implemented in daily life. “Among the topics presented, planting is what I see as most applicable in everyday life. They gave several suggestions on how to improve planting quality, to have better results later on,” he points out.
