In September 2024, Rossi will celebrate its 135th anniversary, a milestone achieved by few Brazilian companies. To celebrate this successful trajectory, Taurus is launching a special limited edition of the Rossi RP63 and RM64 revolvers, in .38 SPL caliber, for permitted use.
The models feature classic Rossi features and incorporate modern manufacturing techniques. They feature wooden grips and, like all new Rossi revolvers produced by Taurus, the firing pin is integrated directly into the hammer.
The Taurus special edition of the RP63 model features a commemorative seal engraved on the revolver’s frame. The special version of the RM64 features the phrase “Rossi – 135 years” engraved on the barrel of the gun. Both are sold in a polymer case.
The releases have a single-action trigger in conjunction with the brand's renowned double-action trigger (SA/DA), which enhances the shooting experience, and feature a safety lever.
The RP63, in the commemorative edition, is a stainless steel revolver with a semi-gloss satin finish and a 3” barrel. With a higher capacity compared to revolvers of similar size, the RP63 has a 6-shot .38 SPL caliber drum. The sight vertex is fixed, integrated into the frame, and the front sight has a removable insert.
The RM64 model, in the commemorative edition, is a revolver in Carbon Steel with a Cerakote finish in Tungsten color, with a capacity for 6 shots in .38 SPL caliber. The barrel is 4”. It has an adjustable rear sight and a front sight with a removable insert.
The models, in addition to paying homage to the Rossi brand and its legacy of tradition, are in line with Taurus' business strategy of offering new products aimed at meeting market needs.
Founded in 1889, Rossi began its journey in a small workshop in Serra Gaúcha, manufacturing agricultural tools. Over time, the company expanded its operations to the metalworking sector, becoming a reference in the manufacture of weapons, both in Brazil and abroad.
In 1997, it began a partnership with Taurus, which acquired the licensing for Rossi handguns, consolidated in 2008, with the acquisition of the licensing for long guns as well.
Renowned for their tradition, reliability and exceptional performance, Rossi revolvers are of the highest quality standards and are a reliable choice for experienced shooters and firearms enthusiasts. With precision and power, they are ideal for personal defense, shooting practice or collecting. In addition to their quality, Rossi revolvers offer excellent value for money.
