Tama Brasil, manufacturer of RMW, a plastic film that protects bales in cotton fields, confirmed its presence at the 12th Brazilian Cotton Congress (12th CBA). Unlike 2017, the 11th edition of the event, this time the company will appear at its own stand, where it intends to strengthen ties with cotton farmers and present new products. The company is an exclusive global supplier to machine manufacturer John Deere, and holds the patent for RMW, a plastic film used in the cotton harvester models JD7760 and CP690, which drastically changed the way and logistics of cotton harvesting. It is estimated that, currently, around 75% of the Brazilian harvest involves technology in the process. The 12th CBA is carried out by the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers (Abrapa) and will be held in Goiânia, between the 27th and 29th of August. This year, the theme will be Cotton farming as a showcase for tomorrow's agriculture.

The 12th CBA will be the setting for the company to present a new feature to the feather production chain, its digital customer communication platform. According to Tama Brasil's Sales and Marketing Manager, Bruno Caetano Franco, it is an app that works online and offline, developed to ensure greater agility, whether in solving technical problems or demanding services. “We also hope to increase our perception among customers and strengthen ties, even though we are the only supplier of the product. There is no better place for this than the Cotton Congress”, explains the manager.

The Israeli company, with a factory in the municipality of Feira de Santana, Bahia, developed, in 2018, a special campaign to publicize the Sou de Algodão movement. “We made a special series of RMW with a circulation sufficient to bale approximately 1950 bales. Acquired by producers from Bahia and Mato Grosso, the bales were placed on the side of the highways and attracted the attention of those passing by,” Bruno Caetano Franco. Bales wrapped in the famous yellow films measure an average of 2,38 meters and weigh around 2,3 tons.

For the president of Abrapa and the 12th CBA, Milton Garbugio, Tama's presence was already important, but the decision to increase its participation in the congress signals very positively about the relevance of the event for the sector. “We hope that this partnership between the company and Abrapa will be lasting and bear fruit”, says Garbugio.
