Antonio Marcos Pereira takes over leadership of seed production research for tropical regions

Syngenta Seeds has promoted Antonio Marcos Andrade Rezende Pereira (pictured) to the position of Head of Seed Production Research for Tropical Regions (Brazil, Amea and support for China). An agronomist with a master's degree in Phytotechnics, Antonio Marcos has over 18 years of leadership experience in seed production, operations and research.

Before taking on his new role, he served for four years as Research Manager in Seed Production. In a statement, the executive celebrated this new step in his career, highlighting the learning, growth, and responsibility involved.

“In this new role, I will have the honor of leading the Seed Production Research strategy in tropical regions globally, working with talented and diverse teams to drive knowledge transfer, operational excellence, people development, and innovation in seed production,” he stated.

Throughout his career, Antonio Marcos has worked to promote operational efficiency, quality, and sustainability in leading global companies in the sector, such as Syngenta, Saturn, Bayer, and Monsanto. He has experience in large-scale operations, team leadership, AgTech innovation, and operational excellence.

The professional holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), a master's degree in Agronomic Sciences from the same institution, and an MBA from the Dom Cabral Foundation.
