Syngenta and Planet Labs PBC have announced a partnership that will provide farmers around the world with daily access to high-resolution satellite imagery. The agreement, which expands the collaboration between the companies, aims to enhance precision agriculture by providing advanced tools for remote crop monitoring.

Under the new agreement, users of Syngenta’s Cropwise digital platform will have access to 3-meter resolution satellite imagery captured daily by Planet’s Dove satellite constellation.

This will allow farmers to monitor plant health, detect pest infestations and identify disease outbreaks more frequently and accurately. Even in cloudy areas, satellite imagery will provide continuous visibility of crops.

The multi-year partnership will also give Syngenta expanded access to Planet’s satellite data, including high-resolution information for large-area agricultural management and new research and development initiatives in precision agriculture technologies.

The integration of these images into Cropwise, Syngenta's digital agriculture platform, promises to offer new solutions based on artificial intelligence and machine learning.
