Expodireto Special: Strategies to ensure profitability in wheat
Embrapa Trigo participates in Expodireto pointing out alternatives to improve the profitability and liquidity of wheat in the South Region
Transmitting quality technical information to farmers, so that they can reach new levels of production: this is the main objective of the Knowledge Station, a meeting launched in 2017 by Syngenta that reaches its second edition bringing around 10 thousand people – company professionals, researchers and producers – to 23 events in 19 Brazilian locations.
Each Knowledge Station lasts five days, the first three of which are dedicated to training the company's internal and external sales teams; In the last two, experts present information to invited farmers that will allow them to have greater control over the profitability they can obtain from their rural production. The first season opened on January 15th and the last one runs until the end of June.
Covering soybean, summer corn, wheat, rice, beans, sugar cane, coffee and peanut crops, the meetings, held in spaces set up in the field, serve to technically and commercially train participants in Syngenta's main technologies, addressing various segments of agribusiness: seeds, seed treatment, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.
“There are several factors that influence crop productivity and knowing each of them is the main objective of Estações. It is comprehensive training, in which our teams and partners are trained to offer differentiated technical assistance that, by combining seed technologies and crop protection, provides customers with the support they need to extract the maximum potential from their crops. We seek to understand the challenges in the field and develop the best management strategies for high productivity”, explains Marcos Queiros, Brazil Sales Force Effectiveness Manager.
