Suzano, a global pulp producer, announced changes in its leadership as part of a strategic reorganization resulting from the creation of Arbex, a joint venture formed with Kimberly-Clark.
Pablo Machado (pictured), who has led Suzano's operations in Asia since 2021, assumes the executive vice presidency of Consumer Goods, based in Brazil, succeeding Luís Bueno, while also maintaining responsibility for the company's global strategy. Malu Pinto (pictured), executive vice president of Sustainability and Communication, will also lead the executive vice presidency of People and Management, Health and Safety, and Facilities, previously headed by Caroline Carpenedo. Both continue to report to Suzano's CEO, Beto Abreu.
Bueno and Carpenedo assume the executive vice-presidency of Operations and the executive vice-presidency of People, Sustainability, Communication and Corporate Brand at Arbex, respectively. The Arbex board will also include Pablo Cadaval Santos, who leaves his position as director of Research and Innovation at Suzano and assumes the executive vice-presidency of Technology at Arbex. All three executives will report directly to Ehab Abou-Oaf, CEO of Arbex and formerly president of Family Care International and Professional operations at Kimberly-Clark.
Due to changes in Suzano's vice-presidency, Miguel Sieh, previously Director of New Business, will now lead Suzano's operations in Asia, reporting to Leonardo Grimaldi, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Logistics for Pulp and Asia Business.
Based in Europe and responsible for the production, marketing and sales of toilet paper, napkins, paper towels and facial tissues in more than 70 countries, Arbex was created this month to combine Suzano's expertise in pulp and paper with Kimberly-Clark's global leadership in hygiene and personal care products.
