Sumitomo Chemical presents the evolution of the YEN Program during the Andav 2026 Congress. The initiative reaches approximately 200 distributors and more than 5.500 professionals from technical and sales teams in the country.
Launched at the 2025 Andav Congress, the program seeks to strengthen the company's relationship with the distribution of agricultural inputs. The structure includes tools for managing goals, action plans, indicators, and results. Another front supports demand generation through training, tools, and resources aimed at bringing technologies closer to farmers and ranchers.
According to Everson Zin, Market Access Manager at Sumitomo Chemical, distributors account for approximately 50% of the national agricultural input market. He believes this network connects industry innovations to producers.
During the event, the company also highlighted investments in BioRationals and physiological plant management. The Soja+ program brings together the growth regulators MaxCel and ProGibb, focused on plant architecture and the productive potential of soybeans.
The portfolio presented also includes the Excalia Max fungicide, for soybeans and corn; the ZethaMaxx EVO pre-emergent herbicide, with three mechanisms of action; the OpteraDuo insecticide, intended for the control of caterpillars and spider mites; and the Tempest E herbicide, indicated for weeds in pastures.
Sumitomo Chemical anticipates new products in September and October. The YEN Program also includes projects linked to ESG criteria. Approximately ten distributors developed initiatives in this area during the program's first year.
