To find out how sugarcane production is going in the state of Goiás and the products derived from it, a team from the National Supply Company (Conab) will visit, between the 12th and 17th of July, active plants in several municipalities in Goiás.
The data researched will help compose the 2nd Survey of the 2021/2022 Sugarcane Harvest. The technicians will travel four routes in the state, visiting a total of 35 active plants. Municipalities such as Rio Verde, Jataí, Mineiros, Chapadão do Céu, Serranópolis, Goianésia, Quirinópolis, Itumbiara, Caçu, Ipameri, Anicuns, Rubiataba, Inhumas, Uruaçu, Santa Helena de Goiás, among others, participate.
In the work, information will be obtained such as the area and expected productivity of the crops, expected planting and harvesting calendar, varieties used and general crop conditions, as well as information relating to the industrial process of the plants such as the expected volume and destination of the sugarcane to be crushed, the installed industrial capacity and the volume of alcohol and sugar produced.
Another important point in the research is related to the production of corn ethanol in Goiás. Data will also be collected regarding the production, market and destination of corn ethanol produced in the state.
The information obtained from all of the work, together with data from other sugarcane producing states, will be released on August 19th in the bulletin available on the Company's website and via the webinar at 9am, on the Conab YouTube channel.
