Steyr expands its Expert 110-140hp line with a new S-Control 8 transmission.

Steyr expands its Expert line from 110 to 140 hp with the new S-Control 8 dual-clutch transmission. This new addition joins the already known S-Control CVT. The brand is also launching three specification packages aimed at different usage profiles.

With three ranges and eight powershift gears in each, the S-Control 8 allows precise speed adjustment for low-speed operations, fieldwork, and transport. The maximum speed reaches 40 km/h. Gear overlapping ensures smooth shifting under load. The system supports automated gear changes in each range.

The S-Tronic system coordinates the engine and transmission to reduce fuel consumption. The S-Stop II feature integrates the brake and clutch, facilitating operations with the front loader and implement attachment. The memory shuttle memorizes and adjusts forward and reverse speeds. The auto clutch function eliminates the need to use the pedal when changing gears.

The new packages simplify the setup and ordering of Expert S-Control 8 tractors. The Element package caters to farms that perform loader work and light field tasks. It includes mechanical rear valves and up to two electro-hydraulic ventral valves, as well as a basic joystick for the loader. Cab and front axle suspension are optional.

The Evolution package targets producers who perform light soil preparation and transport with larger models. It includes standard cab and front axle suspension. It allows for the inclusion of advanced telemetry in place of the basic package. It offers autopilot up to RTK level and up to three electronic valves with an advanced joystick.

The Orange package caters to municipal and forestry customers. It includes a standard suspended front axle and an optional cab suspension. It allows for up to three electro-hydraulic valves with an advanced joystick.
