According to data released by the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services, Brazil has already exported more than 953 thousand tons of corn in the first six days of July. This value represents 48% of the total exported in the month of July 2021. The increase in accumulated corn exports throughout 2022 is justified by the demand left in the market by Ukraine's exit.

According to Raíssa Rotsen, an analyst at Tarken, a Brazilian agritech that offers a marketplace for grain trading, for this year's corn harvest, the harvest continues to advance throughout the Center-South region of the country, with 40,5% of area harvested, according to a survey by AgRural. The highlight continues to be the state of Mato Grosso, which has already harvested 74,41% of the area, which is the largest grain producer in the country, contributing with around half of the volume of the second harvest.

“Regarding domestic market negotiations, the week ended with an insignificant flow of business. Local buyers are focused on receiving previously negotiated grains. As the harvest of the second crop advances throughout the month, prices are likely to come under pressure, due to the lack of storage capacity on the part of corn producers”, explains Raíssa.

The main values quoted for corn in the physical market today are: R$67,28 in Canarana, R$70,88 in Nobres, R$72,04 in Rondonópolis and R$69,67 in União do Sul.
