Agreement allocates R$2,4 million to strengthen Brazilian winemaking
Consevitis-RS and Sebrae Nacional signed an agreement to carry out actions, which will continue until December 2025
Weather conditions were favorable and soybean planting was able to progress last week in Paraná, surpassing 1,3 million (22%) of the 5,8 million hectares forecast for the 2024/25 harvest. Sowing is more advanced in the Toledo Regional Center, which has at least 85% of the 493 thousand hectares forecast already planted. The Campo Mourão region has the largest production area, with 714 thousand hectares. There, planting has already extended to 40% of the area.
The information on planting is part of the Agricultural Situation Bulletin for the week of September 27 to October 3, prepared by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab). Deral analysts indicate that 78% of the crop is germinating and 22% is in vegetative development. Due to the good conditions observed in the field, the forecast for a harvest of 22,4 million this season is maintained.
Bean – the bulletin also records that black bean producers in Paraná received an average of R$306,88 per bag in September. This represents an increase of 30% compared to the R$236,83 received in August and 36% compared to the R$225,43 received in September last year.
The high value motivated producers to invest more in the first harvest, which has an estimated area of 138,5 thousand hectares. More than half of this has already been sown. With favorable weather conditions, production could reach 266,8 thousand tons, a supply 66% higher than the 160 thousand tons harvested between November 2023 and February 2024.
grama – lawns generated gross income of R$158,3 million in 17,7 million square meters in Paraná. This represents 63,4% of the R$249,6 million Gross Production Value (VBP) of floriculture in 2023. Production is higher in the Maringá Regional Center, with 30,1% of the total, and Curitiba, with 29,3%.
Among the municipalities, the largest production of lawns is concentrated in São José dos Pinhais, with 3,9 million square meters and a value of R$34,4 million last year. Marialva, in the Northwest, is the second with 3,6 million square meters and a value of R$32,4 million. The two municipalities account for 42,2% of the total cultivated in the State.
Mel – regarding honey, the Deral document records that in the first eight months of the year, national companies exported 24.240 tons in natura. The volume is 27% higher than the 19.085 tons in the same period of 2023. Revenue reached US$ 62,3 million, against US$ 60,8 last year.
Paraná is in fourth place, with 2.415 tons exported and US$ 6,1 million in revenue. The previous year, the volume had been 1.084 tons for US$ 3,2 million. Piauí leads exports, with 7.794 tons and US$ 19,3 million in revenue.
