Considering the low adoption of the tool, the Agrosilvopastoral Health Defense Agency of Rondônia (Idaron) issued a warning to soybean farmers regarding the deadline for completing the annual soybean crop registration (30/01/25). The concern is that, by leaving it until the last few days, the rural producer may have to face lines at the Agency's Local Units or instability in the online system, due to the high number of accesses.
It is worth noting that the annual registration of soybean crops is an extremely important tool for soybean farming, and is the basis for the certification activities of the state's agricultural production, both for monitoring and controlling pests related to grain cultivation and for controlling the use of pesticides. "This measure structures the agricultural defense service, meeting the growing demands for agricultural certification, especially regarding the use of agricultural pesticides," explains Idaron's plant protection manager, Jessé de Oliveira Júnior.
According to the alert, the current soybean harvest, 2024/2025, has a new procedure for registering properties in the Idaron system. “Registration is done in the same environment as SIAFRO (agrochemical use control system), allowing information to be entered into a specific platform using a username and password, and making it possible to include several properties in just one registration, as well as their respective polygons. These are improvements that were implemented to facilitate and streamline the registration of properties,” highlights Jessé de Oliveira. “However, to date, we have seen low demand for registrations, when compared to the same period last year,” he warns.
It is important to highlight that the information provided in this registry refers to the producer's planning of what will be cultivated, and there is no need to record exactly what occurred in the cultivation that is still in progress or, in many cases, has not even started yet.
“In this sense, we ask rural producers or their Technical Manager (RT) not to leave it until the last minute and to register their properties as quickly as possible, as the final date for registration is January 30, 2025, coinciding with the beginning of the soybean harvest period for most producers, when they are overwhelmed with cultivation demands, which could cause producers to miss the deadline for registering these properties,” he emphasizes.
Finally, Idaron recommends that all grain producers go to the nearest Idaron office or ask their RT to register their soybean property, thus complying with the current regulations that regulate the annual crop registration.
