Now it is the turn of rural producers, agronomists, agricultural technicians and students from the Southeast region of Mato Grosso to welcome the technical team of the 2011 Fundação MT Field Days. Campo Verde and Primavera do Leste will be the host cities for the next events.

The organizers expect a “full field” for the second round of the event. In the first one that covered the Parecis and Middle North region of the state, more than a thousand people participated in the Field Days that were held in five cities in these regions.

“The MT Foundation Field Days are the opportunity that the producing class has to evaluate the upcoming harvest and plan the next one. It is a very important moment for everyone involved with production. We hope that the second round will be as successful as the first”, says Fabiano Siqueri, Marketing and Relationship Manager at the Mato Grosso Agricultural Research Support Foundation, Fundação MT.

“Sowing the Present with a Look at the Future” is the theme of the 2011 edition of Field Days. From it, researchers from Fundação MT and other important research institutions in the country present information on the market, diseases, cultivars and socio-environmental responsibility. Agricultural companies also participate in the event with a machinery exhibition.

For the Southeast region, the program highlights potential soybean diseases for the 2010/2011 harvest. The subject will be presented by José Tadashi Yorinori, one of the most renowned phytopathologists in Brazil, technical consultant at Fundação MT.

Those interested in participating in the event must register for free at the event location. In Campo Verde, the dissemination of technology for the countryside will take place on February 9th. In Primavera do Leste it will take place on the 12th.
