Study confirms irrigation efficiency in banana cultivation.
Preliminary results indicate shorter production times and more bunches per cluster with systems adapted to the soil.
The SindiTabaco (Tobacco Industry Union) has launched a new prevention campaign aimed at tobacco producers, with materials that reinforce safety precautions and procedures in emergency situations in rural areas. This action is part of the Mutual Aid Plan (PAM), an initiative of the organization's Safety and Health Committee.
The campaign expands the format of the traditional booklets and now also includes informational cards and short videos distributed via WhatsApp, facilitating access to guidance for technicians and producers. "The goal is to ensure that information reaches the field quickly and practically," says Cristian Santos, coordinator of the Commission.
The booklet “Guidelines for Tobacco Producers: Preparedness for Emergencies” brings together best practices for situations such as greenhouse fires, accidents with venomous animals, poisoning, intense sun exposure, gales, and the safe use of machinery and equipment.
The material will be available on the SindiTabaco website starting November 27th, the date that marks National Occupational Safety Technician Day. The video version will also be published on the organization's YouTube channel.
