The National Union of Agricultural Aviation Companies (Sindag) will start 2022 with a circuit on good aeroagricultural practices and all the documentation that should be required from aeroagricultural companies to prove their regularity. The Union and the Brazilian Institute of Agricultural Aviation (Ibravag) must formalize a protocol of intentions to be submitted to Embrapa to carry out improvement courses for agricultural aviation at the facilities of the Terras Baixas Experimental Station (ETB), Embrapa Clima's experimental base Temperado, in Capão do Leão/RS.

The idea of Sindag is to use the knowledge of experts and researchers in rice, soybean and other crops to help in the continuous improvement of pilots, agronomists and agricultural technicians who work in companies. The courses will be aimed at rural producers and cooperatives contracting aviation services.

“We promoted a technical discussion about the sector, addressing the topics of food security, sustainability in agriculture, environmental protection and vector and disease control”, said the general head of Embrapa Clima Temperado, Roberto Pedroso de Oliveira.

According to Sindag's executive secretary, Gabriel Colle, the action is part of the entity's effort to value companies and guarantee the efficiency and safety of field operations.

At Embrapa, representatives of institutions and companies took the opportunity to check out the preparations for the 32nd Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Terras Baixas, which will take place from February 16th to 18th, 2022. “We will once again be in the Technological Showcases space and our idea is to confirm the training partnership with Embrapa until the event”, highlighted the executive secretary of Sindag, Gabriel Colle.

The meeting took place on November 24th, at ETB. Gabriel Colle was accompanied by businesspeople and advisors from Ibravag, Alan Sejer Poulsen, and Sindag, Nelson Peña. For Embrapa, the general head, Roberto Pedroso de Oliveira, the deputy head of Technology Transfer, Enilton Coutinho, and the technical coordinator of the Terras Baixas Experimental Station, André Andres, participated. Sindag also met an agenda with the president of the Pelotas Rural Union, Fernando Rechsteiner.
