Soybean harvest reaches 88% of the planted area in RS
Improvement in grain quality has been recorded in recent weeks
Sicredi released R$43,3 billion in rural credit in the 2024/25 Harvest Plan. The volume refers to 241 thousand contracts until March and keeps the cooperative in the lead among private institutions. The agricultural portfolio exceeded R$103 billion and grew 21% compared to the previous year.
The institution also leads BNDES transfers, with R$12,2 billion, of which R$8,4 billion was earmarked for agricultural programs. Rural Product Notes (CPR) totaled R$30,4 billion. Agribusiness Credit Notes (LCA) grew 30% and reached R$47 billion.
With 787 associated producers, 83% of whom are family farmers, Sicredi allocated R$9,6 billion to Pronaf between July 2024 and March 2025. There were more than 135 operations. In the consortium, the cooperative sold R$14,8 billion, an increase of 31,9%. The consortium portfolio reached R$50 billion.
In agricultural insurance, Sicredi recorded a 72% increase in business volume in the first quarter of 2025, with R$392 million in contracts. The insured area grew 89%.
A pioneer in the operation of Pró-Trator, launched in São Paulo, Sicredi released R$22,5 million until February and expects another R$50 million in 2025. The initiative has already made it possible to acquire machinery with subsidies, as in the case of the Fadel family, from Conchal (SP), who acquired a new planter with support from the program.
