Yesterday, December 6th, a meeting of the CDA - São Paulo Agricultural Defense Coordination was held in the auditorium of the Instituto Biológico in São Paulo, aimed at the area of product registration in the agrochemical industry. 76 industries were present, in addition to representatives from ANDAV – National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors, SINDIVEG – National Union of the Plant Defense Products Industry and other representative bodies in the sector such as AENDA – Brazilian Association of Generic Defensives, ABCBio – Brazilian Association of Biological Control Companies, UNIFITO – Association of national products and manufacturers, among others.

The event addressed the applicability of the computerized system of the São Paulo Agricultural Defense Coordination, which, starting this month, will be included in monitoring the use of agrochemicals in the various production chains, as well as improving the fiscal process for the use and trade of products. It will also be used to manage defense activities in the state, from issuing transit documents to monitoring diseases and pests in São Paulo's livestock and crops. Therefore, all agents that, in some way, participate in the pesticide production chain will be within the system.

To mark this evolution in agricultural defense, CFICS - Input Inspection and Soil Conservation Center prepared the event as part of training to mark the beginning of the migration of defensive product registration data into the new system, which will enable, in the near future, the flow of commercialization in the state will be monitored. This is an important step for the São Paulo Agricultural Defense Coordination, improving computerized systems to better meet the demands of the population, inspection and the sector itself.

The implementation process will take place during 2017, in stages carried out together with the sector. This is necessary due to the complexity of the system and the self-level of influence on the agricultural park in the state of São Paulo. Since mid-October 2016, CFICS - Center for Inspection of Inputs and Soil Conservation, has been publicizing how the system will work within GEDAVE - Animal and Plant Defense Management. Training is scheduled for all "actors" of the system and a specific course for CDA employees, for the use of information originating from the system in directing inspection and health education actions, in addition to training in interpreting information.
